It is commonly thought that GM Holden gained inspiration for the HQ-HJ stripes from the Pontiac Judge whatever the case the HQ and HJ striping were still a huge 'look at me' status on the roads at the time.

These decals were fitted at the factory through the life of the HQ and HJ.
