    I've started. Yea.

Cleared out a spot in the shed begun strip down to undertake body repairs. Under the dash I found a name in chalk. A bloke at work says that this would most likely be an employee built car at GMH, as his parents in law worked on the assembly line at Acasia Ridge and had a car custom built for themselves on the line. Same deal with the chalk marks. They were able to get extra things done on their car such as extra spot welding and rust proofing.
Anyway, my car now has a name. I shall call him Jerry.

Everytime I walk past our van in the garage, I say something stupid (but endearing) to her...but I am sooo glad it is restored and sitting there...this time last year it was just a dream....now she is a reality....

The guy who restored our van, has a 4 door A9X, and under the carpet on the floor pan said A9x so I guess that was how on the production line they determined what would be a standard Torana, and what would be made into an A9X....

I remember going to the museum at bathurst and the curator told me all A9X's had that written in chalk on them. That is the first time I have heard anyone else say it as well. There you go.

Sorry I haven't been an active participant in this forum, but here are some updates of my project, although I do read a lot.

Made up a frame to get the chassis out.

    Frame before

Frame after. Just need to clean and paint now. I'm not planning on running LPG so will need to put back the bits missing for the spare tyre. I'II also be using the sway bar and power steering off the WB ute I wrecked.
