    My Hj Sandman

    Hi

    my name is Rob M and I have just joined the forum.
    I brought my 75 HJ Sandman about 6 months ago in Ballarat Victoria were I live.
    this car had a full resto 5 years ago from the dude whom owned it for the last 15 years.
    The car is a 3 owner and has been a local car all its life. all i did to the car was removed some air brush work off the bonnet.(the grave stones were a bit freaky).
    It is a 253 4 speed with all original running gear and rego. Looked around for a while for a van and had just about given up on finding anything decent ,and just stumbled across it one weekend when the owner was down the road from home, had a chat with the owner charlie and paid a deposit the next day. Right place right time as he had an early 2 door Monaro project car and the bride had said something has to go.(i would have nicked off the Monaro)

    cheers Rob.

    Thanks for the pics and welcome to the forums.

    Just a heads up, can you see all those IMG tags? They shouldn't be there,

    You have done this;
    Code:
     [IMG ][ IMG] http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx342/rkjt1912/035-1.jpg[ /IMG][ /IMG]
    When you should do this;
    Code:
     [IMG ]http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx342/rkjt1912/035-1.jpg[ /IMG]

    No Prob's.
    I'm a learner driver in more ways than one.
    First time I have used photobucket or a forum, bit of a head spin.

    Pics are a little small to really appreciate your van...... looks like a beauty from the little I can see.

    Come on Rob, what's going on. Didn't you take in everything I said about resizing?:lol::lol::lol:

    I think you are resizing using the pixel method I told you about which is good for your avatar, but too small for posted pics.

    Use the percentage method to resize for posting pics. try to get the pic to about 100kb or there abouts. Therefore change the percentage to about 25-35% on a normal digital camera picture.

    Good luck.

    I will post a couple for you.

    Ok Rob I have edited your post to get rid of all the IMG tags that were showing up (very messy).

    Tips here ;

    That is one shmick looking HJ Sandman Rob and Absinth yellow... Cool, I like it.... the only thing that lets it down a little for me is the Sandman side decal on the tailgate.

    Do you have any interior pics????

    Rob

    A very cool looking wagon. If my van looks like that in the future I will be very happy. We have been tossing up a few colours and it is nice to see some images in Absinth.

    As far as the decal on the tailgate?? - I was under the impression that is legit?? - I may be corrected.

    I'm with Absinth - can we have a few interior image.

    Nope, not legit. HJ Sandman only had the stripe across the bottom of the tailgate...... it should also have a HOLDEN badge in the middle just above the crease and leaving the top right mounted engine size badge on was optional.
