    Sandman music

    Ladies and Gents

Guaranteed to spark some thought. What is your favourite Sandman driving music.

I enjoy making CD's of various cool (well what I think are cool) songs.

And - yep my Sandman has a CD player in it. The only exception to the 70's

    Now my song

    Triffids - wide open road

Brings back my youth of seeing them as a pub band in Perth.

    cheers wayne

I can remember heading down to the Gold Coast with the latest girlfriend for a weekend of surf and s*x ....... listening to Dr Hook, Bonnie Tyler, Smokie and Culture Club...... God... the sacrifices I used to make just so I could dip the wick...

On picking up my HZ Sandy and bringing her home. It was all about "Van Halen" - 1984 (Panama & Hot for the teacher)!! Of course AC DC (anything). A bit of Aerosmith - Pump. My friend also sent me Enter Sandman!! And last but not least "Evie let your hair hang down"!!

For me it was "Radar Love" by Golden Earring. Alice Cooper, Peter Frampton,Cold Chisel. The glorious sound of the twin exhausts, there's nothing like it!

Try telling us the Culture Club tape was not yours.

I stumbled across the Morning of the Earth soundtrack a year or so ago. So good I had to order the CD - great old surfie music - well worth a look. I guess if you remember when the movie and soundtrack were released you also remember when HQ's were sold new.

Hehe... no the Culture Club tape was definately not mine although I did have "I tumble 4 ya" and "Do you really want to hurt me" on a couple of the "Various artists" tapes I had. I will admit the Smokie and Dr Hook tapes were mine and yes I still listen to them.

Don't know the soundtrack or the movie but do remember HQ's being sold new..... I was ten when the last HQ left the showroom floor. I also used to hold out my fingers in a V and yell out "Hey Charger" anytime one drove past....
