i harbor no desire to have pink bits coz i already have pink bits..sinbox number plates are pink..
i drove a hq ute for 2 years that was painted strike me pink..must scan a pic of that..

Jennie, when repainting engines I used to clear coat the oil pump to stop it rusting.... I reckon they look crap painted red... but that's just me..:shifty:

Thanks Absinth, Rodney totally agrees and was going to go black, but clear coat is the way he will go now you say that.....

I bought my eldest daughter an LX Torana sedan for her first car and painted it bright pink. All our friends knew who drove the car (you could spot it a mile away) and when she broke down one day I got 7 phone calls telling where she was.....and that was even before my daughter rang me:lol: PINK turned out to be a great safety device.

This may sound silly but.....the oil pump is primed with grease/vasoline/something similar....isn't it?

the oil filter is full of oil, and the oil pump is full of a thin grease, called motor honey...

I have a Performance Street Car around here somewhere where it had a Black HG ute, with Pink motor and pink butterflies on the bug catcher. Also had pink wheels.

i'm thinkg i may have to change the colour theme on beigy..... as he won't remain beige for long... now i'm thinkg other colour options to my original plan.... :Chin:
