the clutches in the navaras prior to them being made in korea r fine the new ones suck. we had a D40, was not a nice car. the D22 however was far superior and didnt have the clutch issue. the d40 clutch issue could have been solved but costs a few grand. the prob was the flywheel cant be seperated. so the whole lot needs to b replaced. ours was gone and it never towed! the D22 we towed a bit with and it was fine. we only got rid of it as we needed to to get the new one. but will definately be getting one again down the trck great off road beast too!

Where stuff was made was one of the reasons I chose the V6 Hilux, as from what I can tell the V6 engine and A750F box are still Japanese made. Whereas the D4D and manual or 4spd auto are Thai made, hence the reliability issues they have. Same with D40, ST-X is still made in Europe (doesn't help the clutches though!) but the rest are Thai made.

thanks and yep sure will already do, but now that i own it i can put a spinny knob on it for easier one handed driving and i know its history, and know i can drive it ok with my disability as its light on the steering and has an accelorator pedal, not a hand throttle like lots of boats do, which i cant manage definately very happy with my new family member haha
