    Play in the steering

I have a little bit of play in the steering,My question is can that be adjusted by undoing the nut on top of the steering box and adjusting the grub screw??

Yes it can. But i would recomend first to check all your steering joints, ball joints, suspension bushes and wheel bearings for play first as play there will cause more of a problem than a bit in the box. If you do adjust you steering box dont over do it they do need just a bee's wang free play.

As above it will more likely be tie rods, idler arm, drag link etc.

Have changed all of the above,But I have an allen screw bolt in the top of the box,Not a nut and grub screw,Will this solve the problem or is it time to have the stering box reco'ed.

Well have gone thru the whole shabang,And the steering is great. There is still a bee's wang,Or a knats tit of play in her but all is great. An alighment help muchly as well.Have to say great cruzing out and about today.Has taken me this long to get it sorted as the grub screw had seized up.So heaps of hot runs and lots of CRC to loosen her up and all is spot on.
