build numbers or rare combinations

Is there a way to find out how many Sandmans were built with certain colour trim engine and box combination? because you see ppl saying they have 1 of 3 ever made in that combination for example ? I have a hj Sandman persian sand metallic, chamois trim, 253 trimatic I have been told it quite rare combination. but i have no way on knowing just going of what i have been told

No build numbers (quantity) were kept at all.
In my opinion persian sand was common in vans, not so much in utes

HJ Sandman in (Glitter Poo) Persian Sand MKI or MKII is fairly common and not a bad combination.
There is no way to know actual build numbers let alone build combinations.

Holden didn't keep such records. I've seen it commonly quoted for Ford's of the 70s, but if someone with a Holden says it they would be lying.

I believe for the HJ model the rarer colour combos to be found were during the last few months of production following the release of the LX torana but before HX Holden, were LX colours (which later became mainstays in HX) were then available on HJ - such as Aquarius and Papaya.

It’s a shame there is no record… i myself am curious to know how many HZ saddle tan sandman vans we’re built, mine being 253 man buckskin trim
