WB Kingswood worth as much as a Sandman

Well as I predicted quite a few years ago on here, only to be told I was mad, WB’s have pretty much equalled Sandman in value(according to auction value).
A WB Kingswood with 4.2 and sports dash etc made $97000 after costs. It was a Burns and co auction.

WB was always going to go this way as they spent so many years of being top of the heap in desirability (remember Sandman did not go up in value for many years, unlike WB which went up in value immediately after production stopped in 84 due to no replacement. They developed their own cult status due to this fact.
So it will be interesting to see how they go in the future.

I have always said the wb’s day will come and l can’t believe that Ute made over 89,000 it wasn’t that good and a hq sandman made 45,000 in the same auction

Maxsandman it makes your original van extremely valuable
I would say a wb Ute that done 330000 and nearly 40 years old very well worn and in need of a rebuild

It’s unreal what people will pay if they really want something. I just can’t believe how much these auction houses gouge on top of the sale price! People are mad accepting those terms. It’s only 3% for agricultural auctions and there is billions of dollars of farm produce sold that way every year.

    Hey Beachy
That hq sandman ute in the auction that sold for 46k is a re-body/rebirth unfortunately. It was purchased off me and they used the tags and console mount and thats about all that was salvageable as it was roached. Poor bugger who bought it will be very disappointed if he pulled it apart and found out how some of the kingswood trim is attached as it was a belmont body he used.
