Last time I watched Bathurst was the early 90's..... V8 supercars are not Bathurst as far as I am concerned, about as exciting as watching Nascar and little difference.

I like the HQ racing and Muscle car Masters when they are on....... bring back production car racing and more than just Holden/Ford to Bathurst and I'll start watching it again.

    Just got back.
    What a day.
Todd Kelly brock the watt's linkage after 2 laps in qualifing...
Rick Kelly had to put his racing motor in a day early due to mechanical drama's.
Got to sit in Vodafone "Red room" and met Lowndes.
Also saw the fastest ever lap time of the mountain ALSO from Lowndes.
Dodge Vipers & Corvettes sound great in the GT Production catagory.
5 or 6 HQ's in Historic racing, but 1, 2 door now needs a front end after hitting the wall on mountain straight.
Overall great day and young fella LOVED it.

    By the way:
    2 x 450ml drinks $4.50ea,
    1 Pluto pup $5
Meeting Lowndes in "Red Room" priceless

I do NOT like HRT at all, but they have painted their cars like they were in the early days.

Good stuff Agro glad you had a great day and met Loundes - gone are the days you walked in with an esky full of food, and grog, mostly grog though sat on it all day, enjoyed yourself, the kids would buy a flag each and sit on the fence and sword fight with them (holden vers ford) cost was only to get in, and a Tshirt....

Entry fee was $158 to get in, as well as into the pits (young fella was free).
Took the day pass option so i got $85 back when i left.
$5 ea (return) to catch bus to top off mountain, and my little Laser got 42 mpg.

You could still have an esky up the top, but you are limited to 1 case per adult per day.

    Tickets

Yes but Agro that $158 for us is x 3 or 4 sometimes, but recently have been given passes because of scaffolding committments, so hasn't been to expensive....we also have a ticket for our car which lets us drive anywhere we want on the mountain, (we took the cross 8 as would a little unbelievable in the GT to do scaffolding) as we also help with the tempory fencing, which the mountain lads like to pull down at intervals....:goth:
