1. LE Monaro - always loved the look of them.
2. HSV Maloo R8 RSA. they look bloody tough.
3. Probably be a new Corvette.
I wouldnt buy any Euro supercars as I would look like a dick driving one, although id love to take one for a drive.
Dont need a hatch as I am happy with the one I have
Wow, looks like I'm the only one one that has a soft spot for the occasional fast Euro beast.
Its funny one of my mates has a Ferrari and another one of my mates has a 67 Camaro with a big block chev
The Ferrari was twice the price if not more than the Camaro
Straight out power the Camaro eats the Ferrari for breakfast
So it should with 500 HP i spose
Its ok Lenny i like some Euro cars but not many
That doesn't surprise me Gene. The Ferrari is an over rated mechanical nightmare. Unfortunately I worked on a few Ferraris back in the late 80 to early 90, Its defiantly turned me off from ever buying one. The most disappointment was my first drive in a GTB 308, cool looking car in the day but with the performance of a Holden grey motor.
However there are a few Euro's we forget because when we mention Euro cars everyone automatically thinks German, Swedish & Italian. There are a few forgotten vehicles out there. A lot of them I wouldn't buy but you would have to admire them for their advancements back in the day. Unfortunately when they were fitted with Lucas electronics it made them a bit temperamental.
The only reason I didn't put HQ coupe on my list, which in my opinion IS the best looking australian body style, this was what I had in 92, a "wannabe" LE, it only looked like this for about a week, then I bolted dragways on it.
20210802_213522.jpg crappy pic, only one I have, couldnt afford many photos in those days.
Around 2001, it looked like this, yes Blue Victor, orange is a great colour for 70s cars, even though this wasn't original HQ orange!

also, I have everything stored to build another one, one day, & it may be orange too!
Lenny, I'm only a small time Mopar fan, but with enough money, you would have to have one, way before owning a Ford!
Nice one Max, certainly a beautiful coupe, hard to argue against your opinion there!
