Incredible job mate. Kudos for sticking with it to overcome all the challenges. A beautiful result to enjoy
Thanks once again for the encouraging thoughts over the years.
I won't be disappearing from the forum, too much history to banter on about.
Fondly remember walking into Suttons in Arncliffe, to view the Sandman panel van on their raised selling platform, "it's the first one we have" as the salesman came running to greet me said.
So a very proud 20 year old owned it a short time later.
This would have been late Jan 74.
Wow, you were one of first dude. What is your background, Aussie now in NZ or Kiwi in Oz on the 70s? How long did you hold onto that first one, and who did you sell it to?
Kiwi born, OE traveling, working around most of Oz for two years.
Bought her home with me, enjoyed her for a few more years, then marriage and first house, so she was the deposit $7600, so almost double what I paid for her.
Have tried to find her, but NZ was the same as Aus with no paper records keep when computers came along.
I suspect she met the end in the early eighties.
