HJ to HZ Twin head light surrounds

So i just want to see if anyone has heard about chromed steel twin head light surrounds
Someone is trying to tell me they are factory Holden and i have never ever seen a set ever only aluminium
Is it true or just BS ?

Im guessing B.S. (but I'm no expert), but I have owned quite a few prems & others with twin h/l fronts, & stripped out dozens over the years.
I have some(new) aftermarket ones that I bought around 2001-2, & they are noticeably thicker around the edge (rolled bead), & heavier& have a quite shiny chromed look.
I should be able to put my hands on them easily, & I will run a magnet over them tonite & let you know.

Thanks Max well now there is about 4 or 5 blokes telling me that Holden made them but i call BS to mate
I have owned and wrecked a few to never seen any but alloy
But these guys are adamant

I will have a look thru some parts manuals, but i doubt there will be much variety in part numbers for those surrounds

Definately chromed, not polished
Definately steel
Definately aftermarket

So I'll stick with B.S. to factory holden part at this stage!

Thats what i like to hear i had a hunch it was BS

Got into contact with Byron he seems to think the same but he seems they could have been prototypes
But he seriously doubt it

I've never seen steel ones, and certainly not on a new car, but heard there was a batch of aftermarket ones made about 30 years ago.

So these tossers say they have proof that the 50th anniversary HX Holden had chrome steel surrounds from factory i dunno
