Most likely would have been white stripes on Monterey Green.

All points to it being a Sandman. Prove it with a HSS certificate. www.holdenhistoricalservices.com.au
Take a look at the spare wheel winch for the correct Sandman/GTS/Rally rim retainer.
Thanks Innuendo..will get a pic of the spare winch tomorrow and chat to Ben..everything looks right but when people say HQ kingswood can't be right it pays to make sure..

Yeah that was commonly how the dealers wrote it up in the log book. Of course best to check with hhs but don't let the log book turn you off

Because sandman was just an option on top of the actual model

Yeah, my HQ Sandman Van is written up as a Belmont P/V.
Receipt states Sandman package typically along with any other options chosen.

Let us know what Ben has to say. I'm pretty sure it's a Kingswood Sandman optioned Ute.

    Sorry Max for the confusion,

The images on the older Shannon's listing showed long tail lion (wrong for HQ)
The newer current Lloyd's listing it appears to now have the correct short tail lion caps fitted.

I'm not sure what is correct or not for hq spare wheel cup. The point may be that I wouldn't be pinning my hopes on that determining it's a sandman when it's been tampered with

Good plan. If you use the search function of this site you will find a wealth of knowledge on any subject to do with sandman, I just tried 'spare winch' and heaps came up
