Be one of the better HJ Sandman's I've seen for a while.
Still, I reckon another 20K would still be needed to bring it up to standard.
    Finer details cost!

Nice Sandman though. Hope someone gets to enjoy it.

That's harsh inners. It's pretty good as is, 20k? What are you spending that on? The only thing I'd check out is engine number if you are after number matching cause the early rego label lists an engine number that is way early for the car.

If at $60k they're still short of the 2/3rd reserve mark , I'd guesstimate the reserve to be in the $100k vicinity......and then you've got a buyers premium off 7.5% WTF?

I just hope they at least drove it and enjoyed it a bit. I find it bewildering the people that spend x years sourcing parts, working in the evening etc only to hardly enjoy it or ever drive it before selling it on???

Also side note, are the inner guards a flatter black (amongst other areas) or am I used to glossy show cars after all these years?

The engine number does look to be wrong based on that "made up" reproduction rego label.
I honestly think I would need to throw 20K at it to get it up to concours standard.
Exhaust, Wheel Nuts, Tyres, Dash Fascia, Lenses, Transport, Rego and Insurance just for starters. That's before any of the fine detail or date coding work.

If you are spending big bucks, you shouldn't need to throw anymore at it but you always do.

It's a nice Sandman for sure. But it's not up to what I would want after tipping in that much cash.

For the money it should be one of the best HJ examples in the world! My point is spend another 20K on it in the right areas and it would be a lot closer.

Despite the errors I say wow everytime I look at the ad. If it doesn't suit you I can see why you'd say take money off. But didn't a HJ sell for 160k a year or 2 ago,? Maybe this is priced right

And I still don't agree with it needing 20k spent. Perhaps 20k discount if not original block

4k would fix the errors but money doesn't fix wrong numbers if that's the case
