No, AFAIK the HX/HZ stripes were originally fitted at the factory.

The HQ/HJ ones were fitted at the dealer & I'm sure the ones I saw fitted came as 2 pieces (basically 2 "lumps"). Once they were fitted the gap at the front edge of the door was cut through.

    Maybe this changed over time.

Got me thinking about the stripe location at the nose cone, as I'm almost ready to put them on our restored one.
Surely our Lady in gold would be right, maybe Holden did this one themselves being their marketing one.
And my original one also looks the same, going forward into the nose cone.

Most of thew original sales brochures show it onto the nose cone on HQ but not on HJ.
Either way it shouldn't upset anybody. Like I said they were either dealer or owner fitted.

Who knows how accurate the aftermarket decals are? Jason claims his are made from an original set but hasn't shared the fitting instructions (or even the part of interest so far!).

Here is a link to one version (not Stick This!)

Stripe and Bow kits purchased in SA when we were there sometime ago.
Yes both kits could have had better fitting instructions, but they do steer you in the lay out way, you need to be in.
    I think that makes sense.

OK, so you have the Stick This! kit from Jason.
Does the instructions explain from the door to the front nose or the nose to the door?

The information shouldn't be all secret anyway. The forum should be helping others.

Yes i do have an instruction sheet , looks like its best to start at the rear of the door and work towards the nose.
It will all depend on how much you wrap around the front of door, and rear of guard , as to how much there will be left to run into the nose cone.
So a bit of planning is best.
Will put pics up when she's done
