scalextric track build thread

this thread is for anyone that gets into scalextric or similar slot cars..
ive been racing on a mates track for the last couple of months and doin research as to what i need to buy in a track to get going..went out today and found a guy selling out his scalextric stock 20 per cent off..bought a decent set for $200 and an expansion track pack for $68..then went to bunnings and got three sheets of wood and some batons $66 to fix it over my 3/4 size snooker table i dont use...i shall update the ongoing build as i go....so for now its off to the tajmagarage to clean all the crap off the snooker table..:weights:

when we come back with our Semi to totally clean you out of parts, we will come and play scalextric with you, and bring our Bathurst set to play with as well

This is something I aways wanted to get into as I recon it would be great fun.

I've got an Ultimate Bathurst Dick johnson with 12 metres of track (no cars) that I was gonna throwout, so if anyone is interested send me a message.

I remember having them whilst I was a kid. One thing I remember doing was I had a set with minis. If you undid the body from the chassis at the back on the mini and let it sit up (like a stupid Ford with teh rear of the bonnet lifted!) you could fit a big wheel axle off an F1 car into it. Gave the mini heaps bigger rubber and made it faster too.
