On the tag that has the month and year ..the weight.. there
Is a number on there... should match the chassis number. ..if I was buying one that would have to match.

The chassis number should match the number that is on the tag that has the month and year... and the gmv.
Then the tag with the motor size ..trans..diff has a body number should match the vin tag. ..I look at the tags and that is true. ..
I say that but then I look at the sandman tags the body was made in adelaide then shipped to Melbourne and assembled there ..
The chassis number matches the tag with month and year but not the others

This is what I know valencia. .
I have a ute that is made in adelaide the chassis number matches the tag with month year and gmv on.
The body number on the tag with engine size trans diff matches the vin tag .. from what I can tell the Brisbane tags are the same. .
then there is the panelvan the chassis matches the tag month year gmv ...but made in adelaide then assembled in Melbourne the other tags don't match but looking at the vin it tells me H ..witch says it's assembled in Melbourne. ..it gets a bit confusing.
So we found out its a HX Royal Plum shell with a HZ Atlantis Blue chassis and tags 253 4speed
Body swap we are not 100 % sure
Throw all the numbers to Ben at Holden Historic Services and he'll tell you what's going on (most likely without any charge) if it's a real deal he'll offer you the HHS report.
It has to be a HX to be Royal Plum colour from factory. So as you say a likely body swap.
