Not quite! It's an Australian made Bolwell Nagari. I think it was a pretty fair assessment of the HJ at the time. It lead to RTS, rear disc brakes and I think it's pretty fair to say Holden as a company was milking the public during this period. Doesn't change the fact I still love 'em. As for Peter Wherrett he was typically of car reporters of then and now (John Cadogan comes to mind). Only he wore dresses in his spare time as Pip. Maybe he went DRAG racing!

Non the less what holden did was affordable for the market at the time not making things with all the bells and whistles and putting themselves unaffordable and missing the shot at the average australian ... it's the mid 70s .

The Peter Wherrett Sigma didn't have a turbocharger. The turbo Sigma was a different car & a solely Mitsubishi effort.

Yes his cross-dressing & getting caught DUI didn't help with his public persona.

The 70s was the best decade for car's in my opinion .
Holden /valiant/ford holden . monaro. sandman
    torana slr . slr5000 .l34.
    A9x . Gtr . Gtr xu1

Valiant charger.. the big 2 doors 770 ..rt charger .drifter panelvan
The ford xy gt shaker gtho the xa xb xc cobra ..xc sundowner
The super car scare of the early 70s between holden ford valiant they were works of art ...
The last thing I'd be doing is listening to that moron with his comments.

Refreshing to see that reporting. More pride and less greed, would have resulted in better quality vehicles....something we lacked in Australia
