    Ventilation

Hoping for some advice here. Originally my van had just the 2 outer dash vents HX. The dash l installed has the 2 centre ones now but without the plumbing. l have acquired the plumbing / hose pipes from a WB, question is if l cut a hole in my HX air box in the same place as the WB on will l get the same air flow control?

The top pic shows insitu in the WB
The lower pic shows the HX air box
Whilst the shape is similar the WB appears to have external control

You will get constant airflow with no way of shutting it off.

Yeah Rob l thought as much, will the WB air box be a simple swap over ?
Out of interest when did the ventilation change over or was it an option in the HX - 2 or 4 outlets ?

My WB has air con so I don't have a box to compare it to. My HZ Van and Ute both have the 4 vents and corresponding box with cable and mechanism, but someone here will have a HX.

It was optional in HJ, and I thought it was standard in HX, but must have been HZ.
The WB one should go straight in, after you have pulled the dash out.

you could be correct as my van could have been born an HJ. I purchased it with an HX chassis and the tags have certainly been dicked around with, and l should imagine that it wouldn't be too hard to upgrade the dials from J to X
