sandman seats

hi guys just a lil question for someone from the brains trust who may know:

i have an hq kingswood sandman ute and i want to know if the complete seat winding mechanisms for the bucket seats is the same /interchangable with the complete mechs of the hj bucket seats. i know the seats are very different but what about the winding mechs. i just got hold of a set of gts hq seats but they have the chrome flip foward lever and i want to convert them to winder type

tdog,yes the plastic sides and mechs from an hjxz seat will go on your hq seat...

Does that make them coupe seats then, or did all HQ's have a lever instead of winder? I'm on the lookout for a set of coupe mechanisms.

that would make them 71 72 73 coupe seats for hq if they have the chrome sides..sedan seats had plastics..coupe seats in mid to late 73 and on went to the plastic flip forward style that carried on thru hj and hx coupes and was also the same mechanism used on lx and uc coupes.
