    Bits have started to arrive

First was the "adaptor kit" to mount the Sanden compressor
(If you recall last post, I determined the factory mounting plate had mounting holes incorrectly spaced for a Sanden)
You still need the factory Cast piece for A/C & Alternator mounting

    IMG_7326.jpgKit Contents
IMG_7327.jpgComparison to factory mount - note the adaptor only picks up on two lugs, not three as per original.

    IMG_7328.jpgCompressor (in box)
IMG_7336.jpgCompressor out of box - advice is the 7 chamber pump is better than the 5...time will tell

IMG_7338.jpgCondenser - need to fabricate up a mount.

    IMG_8039.jpgLooks like this when fitted

IMG_7331.jpgBulkhead fittings (one for A/C, one for Water - can get in a line of 4 or square of 4 - I chose this way)

IMG_7332.jpgBlanking plate - even pre drilled - pleasant surprise!

Didn't take a pic of the Unit - but it's going to be a challenge to fit it in!
The outlets on the top for demist foul the curved section when you push it back against the firewall.

Might take a few beers and think time to locate the best place.

No, but you can purchase as a "kit", but you still dont get everything illustrated.
I also need to get demister vents yet as well.

There's many distributors of Vintage Air in Australia, but only one who i know does the blanking plate.
Retrospares in Eltham Victoria sell the Vintage Air and blanking plate

    Hey Puzzigully

Notice that you seem to have the bracket kit that i got. If its the same one, make sure you cast a critical eye over the Sanden pulley alignment with the engine pulley. My Sanden was just a fraction too far back and you could notice it with the belt installed, so i used a couple of the supplied washers to push the Sanden forward a smidgen and that lined up the belt really well.

    Cheers

    Hi,

Thanks for the tip - I'll pay very close attention to the alignment!
