Looks good to be a Sandman from those tags and what I have seen in photos on ebay. I think you've made a typo on body number in your first post. If you are going to buy it get a report from Holden Historic Services (google them) for piece of mind, cost about $100
Thanks sando, I’ll be chasing a report tomorrow.
Report confirmed it’s a sandman. Picked up the car yesterday. I’ll start a thread when we begin. It felt a bit like Christmas when I was a kid picking her up 🙂
Great pick up, always nice to have confirmation and always exciting picking up a new resto project.
Mandarin Red with black interior, red was a popular colour in HJ. Look forward to seeing some pics.
4/75 HJ XX7 Sandman Panelvan ... Persian Sand currently restoring

Yep Mandarin red with black interior, very 70s & great looking now. Is it still original running gear? Windows in side panels?
I'm biased, but great colour combo and great buy. Look forward to seeing your progress Austral
Side windows in both sides. Engine number not matching unfortunately. Got a qr253 with it along with the running gear. Original rims and a lot of the interior is in tact. Only got to have a quick look over before I left it at a mates place. I’ll post some photos soon on a new thread.
