Probably said a bit about the old vertical flow design as they went away from it to cross flow in WB. The WB still had exactly the same room and airflow as the earlier series. Clearly a move with the times.
My old wb used to get hot with air conditioner running but was fine with it turned off I have always wondered why ?
Was it factory air or dealer fitted?
A radiator specialist should be able to pressure test the system for a start. Secondly the CPC catalogue recommends a 15lb cap as they supplied to GMH originally. It should be a coolant recovery cap. You can clean around and underneath the small circular valve plate. The slightest dirt can cause it to lose pressure easily which then reduces the boiling point. Keep an eye on the recovery bottle to ensure it is working properly and should be reasonably clean water.
It was factory
Mine sit on the half way mark when warm slightly above when hot this is after a recent flush and new coolant
