    all my bolts l replaced when did a resto some were silver zinc other chrome plated looks sweet and lot people like but you do what ever you want

    Don't remember many being painted at all. The hinges were plated also. Maybe it changed with late model stuff but I reckon they were majority plated.

    Yes, the bolts with flat washer attached.

    Yeah they were zinc/cad plated on all the earlies.

    WB were painted. Must have been an update from earlier series. Hinges, springs and bolts.

    The OP also asked about the door hinge bolts. AFAIK these were painted for all HQ to WB.

    Also the bonnet hinges & bolts were all zinc/cad for HQ-HZ but were painted for WB. This followed the Commodore assembly process where the whole under bonnet, including the firewall was all painted body colour
