Its a factory 308 4 speed with 2 seats.
Now 253 V8 / auto - Not running.

Tags are :
Date - 6/74.
Seat Cap - 2.
Model - HQ80270
Trim - 1885-30 B
Eng. - L31. Trans - M21.
GVM Is 4850 lbs.
Its original Burgundy Paint Code and an Adelaide Built Car.
Its also got Gts Guards, Gts Dash and Gts steering wheel
Bucket seats with console
Front Disc Brakes
Dash Pad is really good only one crack on edge.
Deep dish stock wheels

Has rust - Rear quarter, bonnet, rear tray and a little on passenger floor, doors.



It comes with original logbooks / service records / warranty card etc.
It was purchased from Holden in Kyneton. And is still located in Kyneton!

Pretty Rare car perfect for that Sandman Resto! But does need work!!

No they didn't nor did they have GTS badges on the steering wheel. There are a few bits wrong but overall it's a nice restorer I think.
Still going to need a couple of dozen thousands spent on it just to get it back in nice shape and you still don't have the original running gear.
Gotta love a HQ Sandy though!

Ok experts edumacate me................I thought HQ bodies had vents behind the doors near the gutter. HQ vents.JPG
May be my eyes, but I can't see any here.......or did late HQs use a HJ body?

They changed in late HQ. I am sure it's been covered on here before.

Yes, because it is a late HQ 6/74 in this case they had moved on to the newer styling for whatever reason. A change in ventilation come to mind.
So it is correct on this HQ Sandman being the last three months of HQ.

Yes I'm pretty sure your right with the vents as I seen some with and without. This is 6/74 so late model.
