So was mine. They just took their time and found it. Then ripped it out and through it in the gutter with the tags they had also pulled off. The days of kill switches and steering locks are long gone.Originally Posted by Valencia
Kill switches and crook locks will at least stop joy riders with limited intent. For a thief with more intent (and time) who is going to pop the bonnet and knows what they're looking for they can disengage the kill switch without finding the actual hidden switch

I made my own lock. I split a piece of 50mm by 100mm RHS length ways. I welded a hinge to it and cut out three slots to fit the clutch , brake and accelerater pedals through. It locked all thee pedals together. Only trouble was it was a pain to put on.
The ute looks neat !!

I doubt it my auto electrician mate installed it years ago you wouldnt find it in a hurry thats for sure
had 2 on a VL Calais twice they tried to steal it twice they failed kill switch wins again
