Sounding good from that dude. With no hoodlining installed you should be able to see a tooth strip over the inside of the tailgate. Also has it got console mounts front and back, ie between the seats and in front of the shifter hole?
Cheers. It doesn't have the tooth strip at the back. Its a strange one as it has a yellow needle standard dash obviously hx not gts its column looks to be hx with wipers on the stork.
Its also auto.
its numbers are HJ8WM70, Eng L32, Trans M20, Rear Axle GU4,Seating cap = 2, GVW = 2200, Trim 1886-19V, Paint 568-15949
Have a look if there is a hood lining strip at the top of the tailgate.
Example photos are in this link

Theres no strip or lining. Im pretty sure it has been rebodied at some stage. Its column auto, hx standard dash gts front stamped not welded.
Tell me Im wrong but it seems to be HJ Sandman abesinthe yellow black trim 3:08 diff 253 4 spd. Built at Elizabeth plant 2 seater. Although its all in a shitty hx body. The 2 seater characteristics give me the tell tale sign that its a Sandman. True or false. Did they make a standard pv with 2 seats.
Work out if it is an HJ or HX body by looking at the electric loom through the firewall on the driver's side.
Square plug for HJ, round for HX-HZ
