    .

Took my time on the way out and stopped for a few photo's

Can you see the two birds above?

This is where the zoom really comes in handy

    check the two ducks

This creek is called Duckinwilla, so is the locality.

You are seeing a Duck in Duckinwilla ck. at Duckinwilla, Qld.

    .

Below is the dodgy bridge I mentioned earlier, none of the logs is as wide as either of my tyres.

You can see my Heads Up Display, I have it set for Rev's and speed. Indicators, navigation and song titles also come up.

Sneaky cows on the right just waiting to make that suicide run and F**K up my ride

Angry Momma giving me the stink eye

After this it was back across the Highway heading for the coast and Burrum heads. I would like to come back to this area and have a look at Lake Leventhall one time, kinda need a boat though...

Burrum Heads on what turned out to be a particularly grey day, looking out to sea from the river mouth

    Looking back to the mainland

Burrum heads feels like the sort of place old salty's come to retire, still lots of waterfront property available and just north of Fraser Island.

Heading south, trying to stick to the coast as much as possible

This shot is from a vacant block between two houses, you could have this view of Fraser Island from your back deck!

    Another block not far away

The boat ramp at River Heads (Mouth of the Mary River) with Fraser still in the background

Fraser Island barge taking 4wds over to land on the beach, very few tarred roads on the island.

That's about it for this trip, mostly highways on the way home, I did get to go through some state forest/pine plantations behind Gympie.

Mt. Cooroy, when I see this I know I'm almost home.

Coke used to own this mountain for the spring at the bottom, which was used in Mt. Franklin water. Not sure you can climb it anymore.

    Awesome shots.
    Beautiful country you have there.
Sometimes a reminder like these shots need to show us how lucky we really are.

    Cheers Kiwivan

Cooroy Mountain is open for the public to climb one day a year Camper. You pay to climb, however all proceeds go to a nominated local charity. It is owned by a family who bought 'Wimmers' soft drinks and 'Cooroy Mountain Water'. They saved a lot of local jobs by doing so.

Isn't it Head Up Display not HeadS Up Display ? Most people only have one head. (Depends where you come from I suppose).

You are right Dave, it is Head Up Display. I guess it's the Aussie in me that likes to think of the car giving me the "heads up, ya speedin' again, idiot"

Either way I love that Holden put it in the V6 for me.

Sure, all sweet, and I really appreciate the photos posted over the way, some are just stunning, but is there any reason I shouldnt reckon my HJ Kingy wagon coudnt make the same trip, in the same time? With a 186 in it? .. and three in the back seat?
