    Hz sandman identification

    Hi trying to confirm i have a genuine hz sandman model # hz8wm70 body #432415-A trim#1934-23c paint#56730525 engine l31 trans m21 axel gv4 vin number 8M7OTJ L432415Z i dont have the other plate available but it says gvm 2000kgs 2 seater chassis number is BHZ 38731A have on rego papers 2310 gcm tare weight of 1340 thanks in advance

    2000kg is usually correct for a HZ Sandman. A HHS report is the best way to confirm for sure though.

    Yep. '78 on was 2000kg.

    Ok sweet, is the hss report like a finance check?. Another thing that you guys maybe able to help with, the body number says made in 79 but the plate says 78 is that normal or holdens mistake. Cheers for the reply

    HHS= Holden historic services. Google them, is a guy that checks off old holden records for $90 you get a certificate. Make sure chassis number om plate matches one on chassis. You have a sandman from the plates. Built late 78 will be model year 79.

    Ok in the process of doing that now, and yea the chassis number matches.

    Got a reply from hhs unfortunately they have no record of the van due to some one line reporting that came out in july 1978. Can anyone 100% confirm without the vpr?.

    Yeah mate, 100% Sandman those tags and chassis provided you quoted numbers right.
