    VF Series 2 Camper

    Hi all,

new to the forum and forums in general, have read the rules/guidelines but if I'm doing it wrong please let me know.

Have just bought a new SV6 Black Edition Series 2 VF Ute in Jungle Green (last one in the country) and had Amcat/Zinardi put the Panel Van canopy on for me.

Plan on making it my ultimate solo road trip vehicle.

Pics from Sue at Zinardi, hope to take delivery of it 11/3/17

    Hi Hainzy,

yeah, I reckon you're right, this style is closer to the actual sandman than the wagon.

    Welcome mate! That looks great.

I wish Holden had of made the effort to do something like this when they re released the sandman. Would have sold a lot more units in that format, than a wagon I reckon.

very unique colour that 1 mate. welcome to the site. I have a series 2 SSV Redline and absolutely love it!

Canopy looks awesome and I like those wheels. Did you pay extra for them or did they throw them in?

    Hi Vombil,

the wheels came with the Black Edition spec.

I plan on wrapping a clear matte vinyl over the entire car, that should tone down the colour a little bit.

Is there any long term affects from the vinyl on the paint? I'm just thinking maybe holding moisture or glue?

Apparently not, good for 4yrs of paint protection. The car will be outside a lot and on some back country roads so I want to protect it as much as possible.
The vinyl is self healing so scratches and stone chips should take care of themselves.
I also plan on putting some speed liner on the front and rear bumpers and running boards.

    G'day Cameron,

Wow! mate that is exciting for you. I remember hassling Sue for pictures when mine was been done.
You should add it to the V-Series database when you take delivery.
I hope you get many enjoying trips in your new ride.

Look forward to seeing the photos of the finish build and all the exciting adventures you care to tell us about.
    Pictures make great stories!

Great looking ute, love that colour. Wheels came standard on VF Sandmans. Happy cruising mate.
