HQ GTS Coupe - strong money

I stayed in touch with the seller of this HQ GTS Coupe. 308 matching numbers 4 speed but no books. Original condition so you could put a good case forward for resto or leave it alone. Was on the market for 12 days and sold for $100,000! it's no wonder some people are paying 15k for a flogged out rust bucket sandman

GEEZ, makes you think.........I have a coupe body originally metallic brown with vinyl roof, Ive had sitting since late 80s. Wouldn't think of selling, & not keen on doing up in original brown (not a colour I like). So I have been waiting patiently for one I like to come up. When you see prices like this, WOW! I think I am out of the race to find a nice original one. Might have to bite the bullet & throw some money at the one I have

Outside of the fact they are pulling stupid money (that others are paying).
I wouldn't even consider one at 40K as a purchase to keep.
Supply and demand I guess. I can't supply one and I can't demand one at my price either!

The saving grace is I've owned many over the years so the desire has gone at these prices.

I am happy knowing the HQ LS that I had gave me a few years of joy. It was great to drive but even in the late 1970's caused me anxiety when I parked it that it would still be there when I returned to it.
It suffered some scratches and flat tyres from others jealous of it. The memories remain in the photos and knowledge I had the car. It even visited the Bathurst one year. It also helped understand the car when having parts made over the later years.

Haha, too right. Very desireable car the Hq, especially 350 guise. Prettiest Aussie coupe ever IMHO
