You can't have your cake and eat it too. We are all buying cheap imported stuff that's great value but then complain when our jobs go to the places where the cheap imported stuff is made.
I have seen it from all sides. I have been in the mines and I appreciated the good pay. But I also employ people on my farm. I can in no way pay those wages from what my business makes. But I do pay better than award wages to get good workers. But I have to take huge risks to try and make it pay. I stand to lose far more than my employees if it goes to shit.
I can see why GM has reduced its risks to stay competitive.

Yep we do. I can't really comprehend no more V8 Holden Utes. But then in 1987 everyone said we were buggered when our manual telephones were being replaced with automatic phones (we were the last manual exchange in NSW). They were wrong though.
