HZ Sandman... feeling a bit confused

Hi, I have had this van for 15 years and believe to be only the second owner. I'd appreciate some help confirming its status, especially to do with paint colours, stripes and what my interior 'should' look like...
    Thanks.
    My plates read as follows:
    HOLDEN HZ PANELVAN
    05-78 BHZ19220A
    GVW 2000 SEAT CAP 2

    TRIM 1931-63V
    PAINT 568-30522

Sweet I love the green and was hoping it was its original colour... I've seen a polariod the old gent kept of it in its heyday, and it looked to have blue stripes? It has a full hoodlining in what seems to be a velour type material so im assuming it's been redone... Should that be vinyl?
    Sorry about all the questions

Yes if it had a full headlining it should be vinyl. Well even the short one should be vinyl.
As already stated, contact HHS to see what they know.

    Hi Dave F,

Posting images is pretty easy, if you look at the Quick Reply box at the end of the thread (usually where you type your next entry) you can see the panel of icons and drop downs for Bold Italic Underline /Font and Size/Text Colour /emoticons etc that runs over the top if the text box.

Mouse over them slowly you should find a descriptor appears to tell you what they are for. To add an image you want to click on the third last icon on the right hand side. A box appears. The box has a tab at the top which gives you a choice to add pics from your computer or from URL. You have a choice to do either.

If you select image from computer, a further box appears. You can then add pics from a folder on you computer and there is a browse function.

If URL is selected which is generally the default in my experience, you can use this to add pics from a web address (i.e.; a cloud, photo bucket anywhere on the net etc) by copying and pasting the URL address of the pic onto the box where it asks for address. (Always a good idea to consider site guidelines and general internet etiquette when it comes to posting any pics from the web that you do not own yourself.)

It wont do Polaroid film at this stage however. (Big Grin! Oh, I am so funny - yeah scuse that).

Its always cool to see an old Sandman photo though - how good is your scanner? New pics are just as interesting.

As a note on cyber-security, I personally don't use a "cloud" or "face book etc " for any of my cars. I dont post photos of my vehicles that may identify garaged location. (Cropping a photo to hide the driveway etc is usually easy enough.) I notice that many owners who post pics of their cars on this and other websites often choose genric locations; quiet country road, inside a commercial or home garage , or even shopping mall car park etc. Just a thought for you there.

Also, after you upload pics you can then go to "Advanced" on the bottom RHS of the Quick Post box, this will allow you to preview your post in full in the top box before posting , and re-edit in the box underneath if you wish to (scroll down to get to it).

All that said, I'm sure everyone would love to see some pics! Btw I reckon a scanned Polaroid showing stripes on your van adds to its history and appeal greatly. If I had one of mine I'd be scanning/digitizing that for sure! (For back up keep-sake at least).

    Hope that assists. Cheers.

Here are a few pics of how it looks now. Has been this way for nearly ten years, I've always been meaning to get it back on the road but I'm a textbook case of "life getting in the way" so its never progressed from being resprayed. I've been rubbing shoulders with a lot of car nuts at work lately so I've got the bug back and have been plugging away with a few little things here and there, as soon as I can get my blackouts done the job should accelerate (as quickly as my pocket money allows that is ). I just hope after all this time I can remember how it all goes back together!
