As per the title, which ute tonneaus do people use and recommend?
I want a 'rope style' tonneau for an OEM look.
Rare Spares?
Tuff Tonneaus?
eBay? (Which seller?)
Local trimmer? (For convenience would need to be in Adelaide)
Thanks in advance

Not sure. Stickthis was talking about doing a genuine copy but I don't think they happened. If you had one to copy I would suggest a good upholster would be a good option. Personally I would and do use elastic rope.
We can do them as per original. (I have a NOS one and a trimmer that can make them for me). But the price is near $700! Hence why i havent bothered. If we did a bulk order and got 10 made (exact as original even the stitching the same length etc etc) then i can get them down to about $550

I would try a local motor trimmer or canvas goods manufacturer first. We had a family business for almost 40 years down in Moorabbin, Victoria and made 100s of tonneaus. At least with a custom made one you get to decide how far down the sides you want it to hang and also how you want it attached at the front ( ropetrack, body post, press studs). Then there is weather you want pull down loop, continuous elastic rope or press studs for around the sides and makes sure there is a rub strip underneath like felt or the like to minimise scratching.
Cheers

if you go that was please take some advice... don't assume anything. Trimmers are very creative and will almost certainly have a different idea. I asked a trimmer the other day to press some eyelets into a blank tarp to suit the hooks on the car. Came back and the Fu#4ker had used silver eyelets instead of the bronze ones I supplied and had put an extra eyelet in each side. ARHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Thanks everyone. You've given me food for thought.
Just curious...wheres your trimmer based? I'll be needing a nos style one that will have a slight modification soon enough
Locally to me mate.
