Gday guys couple of questions
1- Are the factory turbo 400 and 350 the same shifters as in the brackets that bolt to the tunnel
2- If not can they be interchanged between gearboxes
any info would be great
cheers G.

Someone has told me the turbo 400 bracket is longer than the 350 one ??
same shifters ive swapped t350 to t400 over the past just different tailshaft and gearbox cross member all pretty basic converstion
Look I'm not 100% but T400 is shifted by rods and T350 is shifted by cable. Cannot guarantee this, But trimatic to T350 is definitely different. Im trying to change trimatic shifter to T350 at the moment.
Hi Guys.
The shifter thing is a good question, because there are several types.
Firstly, to my knowledge the cable version mentioned was only seen in HX onwards Statesmans with either TH400 or TH350. All 'regular' Holdens used rod shifters.
Also AFAIK, the TH400 shifters & the TH350 shifters are interchangeable in both versions & the lever is always on the left-hand side of the box.
The Tri-Matic floor shifter was always rod only & connected to the transmission on the right-hand side.
With a bit of fiddling the Tri-Matic shifter can converted to work on a TH400/350, I've done it many times.
