    Well, only the wife's car

On my way to Brisbane this morning at 4am to pick up the Mrs from the airport and this is the result. One broken VF. Didn't realise the dam thing was stuck in the grille. As it was dark, wet and nowhere to stop safely on the Gatton bypass, I tried to make it to the servo/Macca's at the end of the bypass. Didn't quite make it. She overheated. Got out , used my mobile for some light and the radiator was rooted. Such is life.

The funny thing was, there were two semi's about one hundred meters in front of me and two behind me. I was in the middle. But no, that wasn't good enough. My old man always told me ' the one you hit is the one you never see'. Well I got news for him, I saw the bastard !!!

I was hit in the side of my Monaro last week by a BIG roo when travelling between Canberra and home. I didn't see him until he was hanging over the left hand guard..... I swerved hard to the right and he slid all the way down the door and quarter panel. It was right on dusk and I was in a section of roadworks and only doing about 40km/h.

Thank goodness I didn't have to extract him from the grille like you did!

We hit a roo at 3.30pm in June, 3km out of Parkes we were thankfully in our new Everest, and not a van, I now have a roo bar on, but at the time they didn't have one readily available for the New Ford Everest....grr
