Is owning a (good) replica of a Sandman a cardinal sin?? I have a fully restored Flamico Red Kingswood ute, with AC, PS, GTS dash, GTS wheels, 2 seat, 253/M20 correct black outs, GTS mirrors, that I am now looking to put sandman decals on. (Will look exactly the same as the Flamico red HX in the Holden Brochure)

Will post photos of the Resto if I don't get shot down to much. All that's missing is the M instead of the N.....

Hey mate - personally I think it's fine. I reckon where people cross the line is when they knowingly try to pass off a replica of anything as original.
So go for it, would love to see photos and read of the work and hurdles you went through.

Nothing wrong with a nice replica, this beauty above is currently on Ebay for $10,000 and the owner has done the right thing and listed it as a replica. Unfortunately there are those who will try to pass one off as original and in doing so makes them unpopular with owners of original cars.

No Worries, Will post some photos soon. Thanks for the positive feed back. Set out to find a HZ Sandman Ute but they are a little rare ..... so a HZ Kingy with full options for 1200 bucks seemed like a good idea (at the time). Sorry about the HX colour stuff up.

That is my beasty, gotta love the sandman utes, even if they are replica's....
Amazing how many comments i get, especially the one that ute's were'nt sandmans
(blah blah blah), how nieve these people are.!!
Gotta genuine one lined up so out with the replica & in with the genuine article.

I used to live on a cattle station just outside of Tara many many many years ago, it's just South of Chinchilla or about 4 hours south west of Brisbane.
