I put my old school Jelly Beans on my van. I reckon it looks ok.

Looking good JDT, I remember everyone wanted a set of them in the late Seventies.

    Hello folks,
I am still tooling around with wheels and decided to fit the seven spoke rims just to see what they look like on in comparison to the Centreline copies. I really don't mind them, they are a little different to the normal run of the mill GTS Ralle wheels, Centrelines, Drag-ways and so on. What do you reckon guys and girls, bearing in mind that I am still to fit the Sandman stickers?

    Hello folks,
Little things like breaks and minor mechanical faults have been holding up the progress of the Sandman finally being registered and on the road.

Frustration got the better of me this morning and I took the van for a quick 2.5km squirt up the road which it is the furtherest that it has driven in the past 15 years. Despite the lack of breaks she absolutely loved it, as did I.

Living in the rural area of Far North QLD is just the best and having breaks for stopping are overrated.

Hopefully the mechanicals and roadworthy are completed this week, because now that I have had a little taste of driving my van I just want a whole lot more.

Awesome to see it nearly finished. Keep at it mate, she'll be on the road really soon.
BTW: Three times a hatrick! It's "brakes" not breaks even if they're broken...

Ha ha nicely picked up Innuendo, a repetitive Freudian slip on my behalf exposing my underlining fear of breaking my new toy due to not having any brakes.

Thanks jennie285 and Kiwivan, yep living in FNQ (North of Cairns) is awesome. We are just coming out of our Wet season and entering the Dry which means the weather will be simply outstanding for the next 6 months. Occassional rain with average temps of 19 to 32, dropping down to about 15 on the really cold nights with plenty of overnight dew to keep the grass green.
Speaking of the Wet season, were I live we have had in excess of 100 inches of rain since the start of December.
    Cheers,

Looking good. Are you fitting stripes? I'm in Darwin and we have had over 2500mm this wet and still going!! 2nd or 3rd biggest wet ever recorded. Runoff for the Barra should be fantastic this year, so plan a trip if you love fishing.
