Today was a big day, my wife and I applied the side stripes to the van. Living 90 minutes North of Cairns we thought we would give it a go, something that I probably wouldn't do again. Next time I will pay a professional to do it.

Looking very nice. I imagine keeping it all lined up and at the same time making sure there are no bubbles would be a pain in the whatsee

No dramas with the stripes themselves at all, bloody good product I reckon. The actual fiittment is far more involved than I expected due to not all the lines on the van lining up. The lines of the doors are different to the body which is different to the guards which makes it really easy to stress yourself out trying to get it perfect; which is simply impossible.

I really think the stripes are an improvement to your Van.

I took the van to its first show and shine yesterday and the van seemed to attract a fair bit of attention. Plenty of positive comments and everyone loved the stripes. Obviously others don't have an as critical eye as myself.

Great to hear that you're getting a lot of recognition on your van! Well deserved I should think after all the work you've put into it. Considering how much restoration it needed and how long it took you to get to the stage where it was perfect enough to show off, I should think that you should bring the van to more shows! And give us a heads up too so we can give you the support if we're in the area too.
