    Rules for reattaching ID plates

Can anyone advise me of the rules for reattaching compliance, ID and name plates in Queensland? I am doing a cut and shut restoration, the front section has the ID plates I do not want, I would like to keep the identity of the rear section.

Ask your local RMS/RTA/DMT/DOT or whatever it's called in QLD.
A cut and shut will require an engineers report anyway to do it legally.

I doubt you are going to get an answer you like (legally!)

That said you can buy the correct rivets, not tell anyone and try and keep your information off the internet (but your not off to a great start!)
