fair enough, but what about the other id tags ,,,, sounds as thow it is a sandman to me , just want to check n make sure it is ,looks like no ones interested or knows on here lol

you cant identify a sandman from a bare body and a rail number that's why I said it's just that... a body and a rail.

the tag info you have posted point to sandman but i can't tell you if all tags match each other or if they are original/match to the body and rails.

What you have there are plates for a 1977 built HX Sandman panel van.
308, 4 speed in Aquarius with black trim, built in Adelaide.

Now I do not know what the following plate is that you posted;

As Vombil says, the plates and chassis looks right but if you don't have the right Sandman body to go with it then it's just a set of plates and a chassis.

Post some pics of the plates to give us better info to help you.

the small tag "vehicle i.d. plate" doesn't match the year of the "safety compliance plate"... someones mixed them up...

No the VIN tag(Small tag rhs) is correct for a 1977 model, remember the MODEL year runs from September to August so a 10/76 is a 77 model year and should have G on the VIN. I think the 8L35LBL539877H could be a VL wagon VIN plate
After doing some more searching, The extra Vin plate looks to be a 1982 Commodore Berlina Wagon with a 3.3 6 cylinder engine built in Adelaide. The 8L35 means a Berlina Wagon not a VL Wagon as I first thought.

10/76 is October 76 that is after September!!! It is a 77 MODEL YEAR. It is correct to have G.

Here are the tags from a 9/76 HX and it has G on the VIN as it is a 77 model
