    Sandman Car Club Meeting - May 14th - Saturday

    Hey all!!

    Hope i'm getting in early enough for everyone. Saturday 14th May sound ok for everyone?

    Theres a few things we need to get going
    -Membership packs
    -Merchandise
    -Club runs


    I'll also shoot out a text message to everyone as not everyone lives on the forum

    Please get in touch asap so we can get this happenin

    Sorry mate. Had a brief read last week but forgot to get back to it.

    I reckon that all sounds good. I like the way its progressing.

    Only things I would add,

    1 - Have we considered sponsorship from anyone? Might help to keep the costs down or fund some t shirts or the marquee, or the club website etc? Any sponsor will want to know they are getting something for their money so perhaps we can work on some sponsor packages, but we might not be ready for that yet? Maybe something to start thinking about though. Heres a good example of a rate card/ sponsorship package for investors..

    2 - Have we talked any more about having our own club website page which maybe links to this forum?

    3 - I reckon the club garage is a good idea. I was actually thinking about that the other day after Bills smash. Maybe we can all get in there and help him get started on the fixit job? Or start on Ivans HQ for him...? Ha.

    4 - Hoodie/tshirt plan sounds reasonable. Start at the start and work up to things we can afford.

    5 - Hats - Id prob prefer a beanie but realisticly a cap is prob more useful as most car shows are in summer.. And like a few other on here, Im a bit of a UV lightweight!

    6 - The Holden club Im in here has a rule of 6 months membership before youre eligible for club rego, then you have to come to as many meetings as you can which are once a month, and you have to go on a minimun of 2 club runs. Not that anyone really polices it though...

    7 - You dont need a certificate for Vicroads. You just need to have an authorised club member sign and stamp the vicroads club registration document, saying that youre a financial/eligible club member etc and take the date stamped photos, then you take that form, plus the RWC into vicroads and pay yr cash and wa la; collect your plates! The photos are kept by the club only, not Vicroads.

    8 - Im free July 9 if anyone is prepared to brave the Ballarat cold!

    Im sure theres a few more things, but thats the main quick stuff. And well done, Luv yr work!
