Seats then must have be fitted at a later date. I have pulled them out to clean and checked the seat brackets - no extra holes, and the floor has no extra holes. Seat runners are the type with the ball bearings internally for the runners, and maybe they were changed onto these seats? In any case I'm going to stick with them.

Seats are definitely not original to a HZ. WB/Commodore seats will not fit in HQ-HZ without modification to the floor mounts.

Vombil thank you for previous advice as I drilled out the old Tonneau clips with my office hands, no problem / no damage. Started with a very small drill pilot hole and then larger size to drill them out. Looked at a previous post about fitting the Tonneau clips, and Jennie and Rodney from Parkes had used a heated punch to expand the clip holes before inserting plastic rivet. Used our family sandwich maker to heat up the punch (perfect temperature) and was super easy to sort them out.

Trying to get some miles with the Ute, after so many years off the road. Ute took me to work every day last week, and above was a couple of photos from Saturday when my son and I did 3 hours (on a hot day) cruising it around doing family stuff, never missed a beat.

Good stuff, did you apply the stickers yourself? Any issues?

No I got the stickers applied by Silverwater signs, he sorted it out. I was worried about the fuel when filling may get into sticker, but he applied a petrol resistant clear material under the fuel cap on the body/top of sticker > apparently impervious from any fuel spillage (He said being used on cars with wraps).

Tonneau cover purchased off Ebay, paid a bit extra for an Australian made quality one and not disappointed, great fit.... just needs a day or so in the sun to iron out wrinkles.
