Hz statesman top grille mould extension

hey guys was just wondering could nebody possibley help or be able to tell me if this mould in question attaches to the grille itself or attaches to nose cone to be held in position ? I already have a grille & my problem is the paint on nose cone is marked from original grille & the stato grille does not sit as high & you can see paint marked & since discovering this problem have seen pics of cars with this mould fitted but cant see how it mounts & unsure will it suit the grille i have? Any help would be greatley appreciated. Cheers

You'll notice on this pic there are 4 holes above the grill. This is where the chrome strip bolts through.
