    Post Hi Sandman Lovers - I need help

    I really need help with this one before I fork out the money.

    Okay I have my eyes on a supposedly HZ Sandman with the following details on the 3 x ID Tags;

    Mode: HZ8W M 70
    Body No: 397486-A
    Trim: 1934 - 63V
    Paint: 567-30525

    Large Tag: States Holden HZ Panel Van
    11/77
    AHZ 04112A
    GVW: 1950 kg
    Seat Capacity : 2

    Skinny Tag;

    8M70RHL397486z

    Please advise if a Genuine HZ Sandman or not ?
    Thank you

    The TAGS read
    Commercial Pannel van (M70), R=253 engine so should have L32 on tag, H=78 build so 11/77 is right, L3=Adelaide built matches A at the end of the chassis number
    63-v Buckskin 30525 Atlantis Blue
    Seat Capacity is right 2 seater

    The only problem i see is 1950 gvm HZ should be 2000 gvm

    Now in saying all this the TAGS may not belong to the so you need to look at the body for supporting things like blackouts, full hood lining etc

    Hey Mick, there you go, I thought it changed over at the 6/77 but if it went through till 12/77 then "the tags" could be sandman.

    Hey Valencia mate, that is a little bit more evidence to say it might be if there are others around the same number.
    Yea I picked up a HZ, 4/77, 308, m21, Sydney built, Atlantis blue but with 18 v (BLack) interior about a month ago.

    Welcome waddell65, post some pics up next time you are inspecting the car. Look inside the van cabin for headlining strip inside above the tail gate. Looks most likely a Sandman but just to be sure.

    No worries Wombat I blame Valencia... I always blame Valencia
