Nope don't understand. Explain to me why we need electronic engagement of hubs and 4wd. Or push button starting instead of keys. None of it is better than mechanical stuff.

Just looked at my transfer case motor and it is not linear. It has to rotate almost 300 degrees to engage 4L. Just makes it that bit harder to convert.

Ok here it is in plain english the green 4x4 light was staying on the dash while in 2WD so the speed sensor on the transmission (auto) thinks its in 4X4 you would be doing 80 kph but the speedo was showing 40 kph because the the transfer motor that operates the front hub actuators were not engaging

So we have a thread opened about a new car purchase (Holden Commodore sedan) which ends up about into a pissing contest about 4wd vehicles, explanations on transfer boxes/engine, transmissions, fast food joint and all other crap.
