Good attitude - fix what you can, or others are prepared to. Use those that are unsaveable to repair others. We all have to get bits from somewhere so some cars have to die for this to happen.

Here's the donor. The seats were put into another van and the bench seat was dumped into this one.

Heres the pulley and spacer setup on my spare motor for the sandman. I assume this is the correct one?

Yes. Another good little mod is to use a 1979ish onwards water pump and pulley. Requires a shorter fan spacer but these pumps with the longer snout are better and bigger bearing works better with viscous fan if fitted.
OMG OMG OMG OMG! Does anyone know where I can purchase a roof rack like that. Thats the missing link to my sandman :(.
The roof rack in the first pic comes of a wagon.
I've been tempted a few times to buy a 1 owner HZ Sandman locally, but the thing that keeps turning me off is it has one of those racks, and I know the work required to remove it and then have to paint over virgin paint!

Cheers guys. You all have officially steered me away from putting a roof rack like this on my Sandman. I wasn't aware they attached directly to the roof. I was under the impression they attached onto the roof gutters. I really appreciate your feedback.
