    Upper tailgate support brackets

Hi guys managed to find a nice rust free gate, but both brackets are broken out.
Any suggestions and or photos of repair of these?

Gm nut, did you get any help on this? The ones on mine are 'loose' and flop around a bit, sorta like the internal fixing [ weld ? ] is stuffed / broken. cheers

How much flop Spike? You mean when tailgate up it moves around, like cms or inches in all directions or just side to side?

Might need to "tighten" outside runner where they overlap. With a hammer probably, to make a tighter fit

I think he means the tab mounting point on the upper tailgate. They regularly break loose.
Really need to be welded back in place.

Yep Inners it's the tab mount. I would think that welding would be a bit of a major job.

Just grab it with a pair of pliers, pulling hard against the inner skin and run small weld down the edge/file/paint/refit strut/done!
