    Authentication needed

Bought panel van five years ago of farmer. No big deal needed parts for job. Did notice xx7 code on panel van. but the mod plate or vin has a 80 in it so means it is a ute. Car has a original panama green wich matches. Buckskin interior, which is good. No glove box door was sold before I bought. Chassis number is ahz00425 b. Build 9/77 gvw1950kg. Vin is 8m80rhh430491z.engine is qr642633
If any one can help would appreciate heaps.

Makes no sense to me. XX7 is sandman but the model code is wrong for a van. I don't think anyone converted a ute to a van. Anything is possible though.

As a panel beater can tell you has not been touched. All interior correct and dash. I heard acacia ridged has been known to mix tags?

My first thing to check if it is a mistake would be to see if the ADR tag matches the chassis number.
The next might be to put up a picture of the rivets and see if they are original.
After that I would think that maybe Dr Terry can help.
It may have been a ute and the tags attached to a van body. If you say that the dash is correct, all the other indicators are there, (console mounts, full hoodlining etc) the only other possible check might be the spare wheel bracket.
I am only guessing here, many other people out there with more experience than me, but could be a kingswood body put on the ute chassis.
Could be a mistake on the plates but maybe put up some pictures, might give some people a chance to pick things that they see to help in this situation.
